Overload

Information coming out of everywhere… emails, white papers, rss, news reports, radio, TV, local papers, junk mail, phone mail, billboards, stickers on a bumper, product placement on a team clothing, product placement on everyone and their clothing, product placement full stop, car brands, cannot walk or move with the placement and information hitting me.

It all goes where… it’s like the neon that covers you on walking around Shinjuku after sundown. All the signs are screaming, screaming to be heard, screaming to be looked at, and screaming for some form of attention. Yet with all the competition for your visual space every sign gets lost. Every sign becomes a blur. Is it really worth the advertiser spending their budgets on something that will be completely lost on anyone who sees it. Do you pay attention? Do you know anyone who pays attention? Marvel at the glow of the signs as you would marvel at the setting sun across the ocean. Marvel at the glow as you would the glow that is reflected off the land as the sun sets over the desert of the “red centre”. Marvel at the first one to up but not the last one to join the crowd.
